In 1988, Manlio “Manny” Ruiz had a vision to create a business that would not only clean but also protect the spaces where people worked. What started as a simple idea in his own backyard quickly grew into what would become America’s Dust Busters. Starting out with a water hose, some soap, a couple floor mats, and a vision, Manny set out to provide top-quality dust control services. He went knocking door-to-door, offering his floor mat cleaning service one customer at a time. Without a factory, Manny hand-washed the mats, hung them to dry, and rolled them up for delivery the next morning—always with a commitment to excellence and a genuine desire to serve the community. It was this hands-on, customer-first approach that laid the foundation for America’s Dust Busters and its dedication to quality from the very start.
By February 1992, Manny’s determination and hard work led him to purchase a property in Miami, Florida, where he established the first formal location for America’s Dust Busters. The business officially opened its doors on April 8, 1993, marking the beginning of a new chapter of growth and success.
For the first decade, America’s Dust Busters specialized in high-quality floor mat and dust control services. However, in 1999, Manny expanded the company’s offerings by acquiring Folgado Linen and launching Star Linen Service, adding linen services to the business’s portfolio.
Today, as the company enters its fourth decade of operations, America’s Dust Busters is still rooted in its founding values of exceptional service, quality, and commitment to customer satisfaction. Under the leadership of Manny’s son, Manny Ruiz Jr., and General Manager David Molano, the company continues to grow and innovate, striving to meet the evolving needs of customers while maintaining the high standards of excellence that have defined the business since day one.
